Immigration Advisory Service In Administration

The IAS, which employs 200 people, has closed its branches across the UK.

One worried employee contacted us and told us that they were called on Saturday to say the business had gone into administration and that there would be meeting with the admininstrators tomorrow.

The IAS is a charity that gives out advice on immigation. It is thought that cuts to the legal aid budget has affected the business.

It has an income of £14.5 million. £13 million of this came from the Legal
Services Commission (i.e. the taxpayer). £405,000 from the Scottish
